Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to all users of the Avatarli AI presenter video studio. It supplements our Terms of Service and defines what you may and may not do with the Avatarli platform and any content you generate through it.

Avatarli uses AI models to generate realistic-looking synthetic video of AI presenter characters delivering user-written scripts. This capability is powerful and carries serious responsibility. The rules in this policy exist to prevent misuse that could harm individuals, organizations, and the public.

Violations of this AUP may result in content removal, account suspension, permanent termination, or reporting to law enforcement and affected parties. This policy does not require intent — the potential for harm matters regardless of your purpose.

Avatarli’s AI presenters are entirely fictional AI-generated characters. You must not use the Avatarli platform to represent, recreate, imply, or reference the identity of any real person.

• Do not use any real person’s face, voice, name, likeness, image, signature, personal attributes, or biographical details in your scripts, prompts, or uploaded materials without their explicit written consent.
• Do not create a video that depicts, implies, or could be reasonably understood to show a real person — living or deceased — saying or doing something they did not say or do.
• Do not upload photographs, portraits, or images of real people as scene reference images or background materials without their explicit consent.
• Do not use a person’s name, nickname, title, handle, or identifying descriptor in a way that implies they are the speaker or participant in the generated video.

• Do not impersonate any celebrity, athlete, entertainer, politician, government official, public figure, business executive, journalist, or private individual.
• Do not impersonate any brand, company, organization, government agency, court, regulatory body, or institution.
• Do not create content that presents an AI presenter as a known real person, or that could mislead viewers into believing a real person is speaking.
• Do not generate content that impersonates Avatarli, Avatarli employees, or Avatarli communications.

• Do not create fake testimonials, fabricated endorsements, or content that falsely implies that any person, brand, celebrity, organization, or professional body endorses a product, service, position, or message.
• Do not create advertising content containing false, misleading, or unsubstantiated claims about a product, service, price, results, performance, or capabilities.
• Do not create content designed to deceive, mislead, or manipulate consumers, investors, patients, or regulatory bodies.
• Do not present AI-generated video as authentic footage of a real event, statement, or person.
• Do not generate fake official announcements, fabricated press releases, or false statements attributed to real organizations or public authorities.

Creating realistic synthetic video carries a high potential for harm. Avatarli takes a zero-tolerance approach to content created for fraudulent, deceptive, or manipulative purposes.

• Do not use Avatarli to create content designed to defraud, deceive, manipulate, blackmail, extort, or harm any individual or group.
• Do not create content for financial scams, investment fraud, cryptocurrency fraud, romance scams, or Ponzi schemes.
• Do not create content for phishing attacks, social engineering, identity theft, credential theft, or account takeover.
• Do not distribute AI-generated video in a way that presents it as genuine, authentic footage of a real person speaking or acting, without clear disclosure that it is AI-generated.
• Do not use Avatarli to produce content intended to damage an individual’s reputation through fabricated statements or conduct.

• Do not reproduce, closely paraphrase, or directly adapt copyrighted text, scripts, song lyrics, dialogue, news content, books, articles, or other protected expression in your scripts without permission from the rights holder.
• Do not use brand names, logos, trademarks, slogans, or other brand assets in a way that infringes trademark rights or falsely implies affiliation with or endorsement by a brand owner.
• Do not upload images, photographs, artwork, or creative assets that you do not own or have an appropriate license to use as generation inputs.
• Do not use Avatarli to produce content designed to infringe or circumvent another party’s intellectual property rights.

• Do not create synthetic media designed to manipulate elections, voters, electoral processes, or political opinion through fabricated or deceptive video content.
• Do not impersonate political candidates, elected officials, government authorities, or institutions.
• Do not create content that fabricates positions, statements, or actions of real political or public figures.
• Do not produce synthetic news, synthetic official communications, or synthetic public announcements intended to mislead the public.

• Do not present AI-generated content as verified expert medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or health claims without appropriate professional disclosure and substantiation.
• Do not present AI-generated content as verified legal advice, legal analysis, or legal representation.
• Do not present AI-generated content as verified financial advice, investment advice, or regulated financial services.
• Do not make unsubstantiated claims about a product’s medical benefits, safety record, or regulatory status.

• Do not create content that incites, glorifies, or promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against any person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
• Do not create content that harasses, threatens, stalks, intimidates, or targets specific individuals.
• Do not create sexual content, nudity, or explicit material of any kind.
• Do not create any content of a sexual or exploitative nature involving minors. This is an absolute prohibition and will be reported to relevant authorities.
• Do not create content involving minors in unsafe, misleading, deceptive, or harmful contexts.
• Do not create content that promotes, facilitates, or glorifies illegal activities, illegal goods, controlled substances, weapons, or dangerous activities.
• Do not create content designed to cause psychological harm to a specific person or group.
• Do not create content promoting or associated with terrorism, violent extremism, or mass violence.

• Do not attempt to circumvent, bypass, or disable Avatarli’s content controls, rate limits, credit system, safety mechanisms, or abuse-prevention measures.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, extract, or reproduce Avatarli’s AI presenter assets, underlying models, system prompts, generation logic, or proprietary technology.
• Do not use automated scripts, bots, or tools to abuse, overload, or exploit the Avatarli platform.
• Do not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions placed on a previous account.
• Do not use Avatarli to generate content on behalf of a third party who is themselves prohibited from using the Service.

You are fully and solely responsible for:

• All scripts, prompts, images, references, and other content you submit to Avatarli.
• All uses to which you put generated videos after downloading them, including distribution, publication, and commercial use.
• Ensuring that your use of the Service and generated outputs complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party rights in your jurisdiction and the jurisdictions in which you distribute content.

Avatarli generating a video from your submission does not constitute Avatarli’s endorsement, review, approval, or verification of the content, accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of that video. The responsibility for the video’s content and use rests with you.

Avatarli may, at its sole discretion and at any time, with or without prior notice:

• Decline to process a generation request that appears to violate this AUP or our Terms of Service.
• Remove or disable access to generated content associated with your account.
• Suspend your account pending investigation of suspected violations.
• Permanently terminate your account and bar you from future access to the Service.
• Restrict your access to specific features, models, or generation capabilities.
• Retain generation records, event logs, and account data in connection with abuse investigations or legal proceedings.
• Cooperate with law enforcement, courts, regulators, or affected parties where required or permitted by applicable law, including disclosing account and generation information in response to valid legal process.

Avatarli may review generation activity, submitted content, and account records for safety, abuse prevention, platform integrity, legal compliance, and support purposes.

If you have become aware of Avatarli-generated content that you believe violates this policy — including deepfake misuse, impersonation, fraud, or unauthorized use of a real person’s likeness — please report it to us at abuse@avatarli.com.

Include as much information as possible, including a link to or description of the content, the nature of the violation, and your contact information. We will investigate all good-faith reports and take appropriate action.

If you believe your own likeness, name, brand, or rights have been misused in Avatarli-generated content, contact legal@avatarli.com.
